Notes: 1979 was the inaugural year. The 1990 race was cancelled due to a forest fire that resulted in the US National Park Service closing an area that included much of the race course. Relative winning times often reflect snow conditions on the course which range from clear (no snow) to as much as a meter of snow at the top of the mountain. 1998 was a heavy snow year; Arter was the only finisher, around ten hours.
